A lot of people have sought to know God’s ways and kingdom principles, but they don’t live them. One day as I was driving down the road, the Lord explained to me why this happens.
The Father said, “Success in My Word is 10 percent knowing how the Word will work for you and 90 percent knowing why you should obey it.” Keep the Lord’s instruction in mind as you continue reading, and I believe He will show you the necessary changes you need to make in your life.
I want us to look at three things that hold people back from God’s blessing:
Oftentimes, believers give up too soon. They get weary as they wait and wait for the promises of God to come to pass. Whenever they are close to a breakthrough, they become frustrated and change their confession from words of faith to words of doubt and unbelief.
This is true in every area of your life! If you’re wavering between faith in God’s kingdom principles and your own fleshly doubts, don’t be surprised if nothing happens.
The root of worry is fear. If you’re worried about something, you’re in fear—not faith—about that particular matter, which hinders God from moving on your behalf. Worry also shortens your life and consumes precious time that you could use to seek God.
It’s time for believers to get a revelation of their Heavenly Father’s character! Do you trust Him or not?
Choosing to harbor unforgiveness towards others is choosing to stop the flow of God’s blessing. When Jesus, the Head of the church, wants something done on this earth, He directs a member of His body to do it. As the believer obeys Him, the anointing flows.
If you and I are mad at another person, it’s hard for us to obey God if He speaks to us concerning him or her. God wants us to be channels of blessing and anointing.
Don’t allow unforgiveness to keep you from obeying the voice of the Holy Spirit! Otherwise, you will miss glorious opportunities to minister to the needs of others.
I hope this encourages you to get a revelation of what learning and applying God’s kingdom principles will do for you. Hunger for the Word more than bread! As you daily seek God first, His Word will lead you into paths of blessing and peace.
