How to Trust in God's Timing

    June 14, 2017

    Dr. Nasir Siddiki

Time is the greatest gift our Father in Heaven has given us. We’ve all been given a measure of time to fulfill God’s plan for our lives. And most of us—even those who aren’t living in the fullness of revelation light—agree we’re all here for a purpose. The struggle comes down to a question: Can I trust God’s timing?

Think about Queen Esther. She was forced to join the group of eligible young women in Persia to see who would become queen. Shortly after Esther was chosen as queen, King Xerxes’ right hand man, Haman, devised a sinister plot to kill all the Jews. What was Esther to do? She had an opportunity to help her people.

Nothing about her situation made sense in light of God’s timing. How could this situation be made good, be the right time? This is what Esther was asking herself, struggling to understand, yet pay attention to Mordecai’s words to her:

If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place…who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this? (Esther 4:14)

The rest of the story is that Esther trusted God and was used to save the Jews from destruction. Living by faith requires looking beyond the natural and into the supernatural. It’s not always easy!

When the bill is due, your child is sick, and things are going haywire at work, seeing by faith is not the first thing on your mind. However, when you get quiet, the whisper of the Holy Spirit, his prompting through the Word, will clearly point you in the right direction. Go over here. Make this deal. Call this person.

Romans 8:12 says, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.” Don’t hesitate to follow His voice! You can trust His timing because you know His voice.
