Every attack of the enemy starts with a thought. Your mind is the battlefield where life’s most precious victories are won or lost! You have to take thoughts captive or they will take you captive.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 says, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.”
Whether or not you realize it, there’s a war going on every day. Your weapon is the Word of God, and you must learn to think God’s thoughts. The law of thought is as follows: what you think on will manifest in your life.
Your mind will never be blank—you must choose your thoughts! The creative process is what you conceive, believe, and speak. Obstacles, the mountains in your life, will not move until they are defeated in your mind.
In order to change what you do, it’s imperative to change what you think. If it’s on your mind, it’s in your future. The good news is that Christians have the mind of Christ. Righteousness is God’s way of thinking.
Romans 12: 2 says, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
There’s no reason to stay stuck with negative thoughts! Focus your attention on the Word of God and your thought life will begin to change.
